“Heavenly Father I Worship You” by Steve Barrie

This is what Steve says about his song:

"This contemporary hymn was written in 1994 and was originally inspired by the words of Peter and John in Acts chapter 4:19-20. The disciples were facing threats, persecution and jail and were warned NOT to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, "Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard."

I wanted to write a song that would tell the listener about how God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit all played their part in my salvation, and what I had 'seen and heard'. This is my salvation song and its lyrics are my testimony to God’s love and His saving power.

The song was recorded using musicians and singers from various churches and was featured on my album 'Raging Desire' in 2010. All profits from the sales of the album were donated to international projects supported by The King’s Church."
